A human attacker generally works one angle at a time. AI-assisted attacks don't have that constraint: the same target can face a distraction attempt, a credential-harvesting phishing email, and an automated exploitation attempt simultaneously, coordinated rather than sequential.
That kind of layered pressure is specifically designed to overwhelm normal judgement. Dealing with one suspicious message is manageable. Dealing with several different threads of pressure at once, each reinforcing the urgency of the others, is a much harder position to think clearly from.
The organisational response has to match that shift: incident response and awareness training built around the idea that a single alert might be one part of a bigger, coordinated attempt, not an isolated event to handle in isolation.
